This little desk is almost perfect. I had a very small corner in my house for my home office, and this fits my space perfectly. It feels very sturdy. I like the big keyboard drawer, I am using it for storage.I modified the the shelf, I drilled new holes and attached it with self tapping screws. I wanted to keep the shelf but have space for my PC. I bought a little drawer on Amazon and mounted on the left for pens.I only give it four stars because it was tedious to put together. The instructions for the drawer glides are wrong. I had to to some disassembling and reassembling to get the drawer to push in flush with the front of the desk. The edge where I rest my wrists is very sharp, I have a small spongy edge guard on order. So far I am very happy.I don't know if I was lucky but I had no issues assembling the desk, apart from having to create pilot holes using a small nail and hammer. I bought the 48" Charcoal version (darker than expected) when it was deeply discounted and it arrived in one day. It took about 1 1/2 hrs to complete. Everything lined up and there were no missing or broken parts. I assembled it by myself - it only takes 1 person. The only minor issue that I encountered is that while there are indentations for all of the screw holes, they are not very deep and therefore, are difficult to set screws. To get around this I used a small nail and hammer to create pilot holes (which made things easier). I also reversed two steps as the instructions have you using a flat bracket to secure the Side Frame and Back Panel before securing the Side Frame to the Table Top (steps 15 and 16). It's much harder to line the bolts up with the flat bracket already attached. The finished desk seems very sturdy. I have mounted a monitor arm behind the area where the shelves are located (the clearance is not as deep). There is also a lot of room on the desktop - enough to fit two 27' monitor, a 4 sided power strip, a KVM switch and a port replicator and chargers and still have a lot. The drawer space is huge. I had no issues with the drawer alignment of hinge locks. This is a beautiful desk, but the holes for the screws do NOT align. My son bought this same desk a couple of years ago and had a difficult time putting it together. When I saw this desk on sale, I decided to go ahead and buy one for myself. I was hoping this desk would be easier to put together than my son's had been. It was not. My son spent over 2 hours trying to put it together. The holes for the screws are way off. As I helped him try to set the desk up to get into a better position, we heard a crack. The one screw he was able to get into position tore through the "wood". Luckily it is in a spot that will not be seen, but he still was not able to put the remaining screws in to secure the top to the legs. Reading other reviews, it seems several people have had the same problem. Had I paid full price for this desk I would be extremely upset. I am going to move the desk into place and leave it there. It is certainly not going to be sturdy considering the screws that could not be inserted. It really is a beautiful desk. It is a shame the company has not addressed the ongoing problem of the misalignment of the screw holes.I love the style and color of this desk. This style comes in a whole collection and I have been pretty satisfied with every piece that I have purchased. The desk put together fairly well. Though on of the bolts didn't seem to tighten as well as the other bolts. There were a few scratches on the front but I hid them with the stickers it came with to hide the screw wholes. So it turned out very well. I only paid $105 for it and it was well worth that price. Good quality for the price!I really like the look of this desk and think its a decent value. The look and size is perfect for a bedroom or small office, and the plugs on the side are very helpful. However, the setup is incredibly complicated and the instructions are very unclear. Especially regarding the keyboard cover, it is very confusing and often you'll have to retrace your steps. The two keyboard tracks are labeled the same and the instructions are not clear what goes where. It would be helpful to name them different things and make sure everything is the right orientation first...if you buy this try to take a couple extra seconds before bolting anything down.In terms of quality its okay, about what I expected for the price and coming from Amazon. Once you drill in or screw in the bolts, you can't undo them without splitting the material. Everything fits really tightly, which is great and helps the desk feel sturdy, but it makes assembly a little tough and requires some extra force. The keyboard cover is the only exception. It won't stay on or close properly. The hinges are terrible and the screws won't stay drilled in. I am leaving it off for now and will figure out something later down the road. One additional note: make sure you have a drill and small ratchet with Allen key sockets. It helps tremendously. They include a small Allen key, but it is much easier with a rachet. In terms of screwing the screws in, a drill is not necessary, but it helps more than anything. It helps keep it sturdy and saves at least half an hour to 45 minutes alone.Be prepared for a 3 hour setup. My biggest complaint about this desk is the assembly. I read through many reviews before buying it, so I knew what I was potentially getting into. This desk comes in way more pieces than I anticipated, hence the long assembly time. The instructions are vague so make sure you think through everything you’re doing. The instructions are right, you just have to take your time. And everyone is right about the keyboard tray/drawer not staying closed in the front. I took someone else’s advice and glued it shut since I will be using it as a drawer. The desk looks beautiful now that it is put together. Just be ready for at least a 2 hour assembly job and someone to help you! The wood also easily damaged so there’s a good chance of some damage from shipping.. luckily mine is in places you can’t see it and nbd. Overall, I don’t regret buying it and I’m glad I was mentally prepared for a long assembly from reading other reviews!Beautiful desk when assembled. However, there was supposed to be a screw to sturdy the desk for which the hole wasn't made. So my desk is a little shaky. A little disappointing and with the kids doing school on it, I feel it's going to flop any moment. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive and I can't afford to buy another desk just yet. Ivy - CroydonAbsolute lovely desk, looks amazing in my new home office. Very disappointed that it came with an American socket though, not good when you live in the UK! I have tried to send an email to see if there is a UK version but cannot find contact details.
