The instructions could be better however, the problem most people are reporting is addressed in the current instructions in BOLD type after step 3.I found it helpful to use a 10mm socket with an extension but it could be done with the provide allen wrench.I bought from this company because I have a 5-year-old chair from them, and it is still in perfect condition.This chair may be their base model, but it is built the same way. strong and comfortable.
