I buy a lot of calculators for 8-10 regular users in my office. They bring them to me when they begin skipping, not printing, not adding correctly or not showing in the window. So I have many broken ones sitting in my office waiting for me to try and fix (occasionally when I have a minute to tinker - I've actually fixed two or three!). Unfortunately most of them are the MP27DII models or sometimes the other MP models (Canon MP11DX or Canon MP25DIII) that litter my floor. (BTW The next most commonly broken ones for us are Sharp.)When the Canon's do work they really go. But I find that after about two years they give out and I have to order more. It's getting too expensive to keep ordering something that's suppose to be professional quality only to have it give up the ghost so quickly.I'm now testing out Victor 1240-3A's and Casio DR-120R -BK's. So far so good.Fast. Accurate. Solid Keypad. I struggled to find the right calculator. I tried the Canon MP11DX which was awful. I tried the Monroe 2020Plus, which was too small and angled awkwardly. This one has the right sized keypad with fast, solid keys. It's big but I need that for a relaxed hand placement. The Monroe was too tight to allow for accuracy, and contributed to strain. The angle for hand placement is natural - the Monroe was giving me a stressed carpal tunnel feeling within seconds. The keys are solid with quick action and release - the MP11DX keys were flimsy, and the keys would wobble and stick. The keys on the MP27DII go straight up and down. no circular wobble at all. It's been a day. We'll see how it holds up. If you don't see and addendum to this review - it's good.I needed something that printed out fast so I could keep track as I paid bills. Nothing worse than using a solar calculator without tape or those portable printing calculators that lag 2 entries behind as you hear the rat tat taddlee tat.......before you can enter the next entry. This is a really good heavy duty calculator with tape similar to the one my mom had while growing up. I like the solid feel of the keys, fast response and the good memories it gives me.I like this calculator a lot. It is the size I like due to my big fingers, it has the feel and key reaction I also like, I like the arrangement of the keys, and I like that the print can be turned off to save paper. Also, I like that it has a power down mode; I leave a calculator on at my desk all day but it is nice that it will power down when not in use for a while. I have always purchased Canon calculators, and after this purchase I will continue to purchase Canon. This machine is very large; takes up a lot of space. Having said that, I found it useful because of the large keys and display is easy to read. This is my second purchase of this calculator from Amazon. It's a heavy duty professional calculator. It prints quickly and immediately without the delayed action you have with so many other. The only thing I do not like is that it turns off too soon after being dormant. I still give it five stars. Excellent calculator!I am an accountant that uses a calculator all day long. Ironically, when my 15 year-old calculator died recently, I found it very difficult to find a new calculator with any durability that had a RIGHT key TOTAL. I was not going to retrain myself at this point in life. This product is great! Keys are a little larger than normal, but after a week, no problem. Visual of totals on display is excellent. Would buy again. The quality of the calculator is very good but I'm definitely not a fan of the keyboard layout. Should have researched better. The = is a small little key on the left of the keyboard instead of one of the larger keys to the right. Should really exchange for one with a better layout.
