I got the two drawer black version, mostly because the other colors were out of stock when I ordered. My preference for lighter colors is based on experience of building maybe ten filing cabinets. I was not surprised when familiar issues arose. What I have to say about this filing cabinet is pretty much the same as I would say about any other. I think this is one of the better ones I have constructed, but if you have never made one before, think about getting a light colored one, or finding someone else to construct this for you.When you are trying to put a black screw through a hole in a black metal panel into another black metal panel below it, it can be hard work getting the holes and the screw lined up. Construct this in a room with a lot of light, and preferably have a small flashlight handy as well once you are working on the interior. Best of all, get a light-colored version and then a lot of the constructional problems disappear.This cabinet goes together with one type of small screw with a Phillips head; lots of them. It is handy not to have to work out what type of screw goes where, and the screwdriver provided is the correct one. But I cannot say it is all you need, because putting self-tapping screws through metal plates with a screwdriver means Blisters with a capital B.The screwdriver is good for putting the screws into the holes with force, which has to be done to get them started, but once the screws were securely in place, I got out my trusty ratchet wrench to tighten them down. (One of the reasons is the screws which hold the body together are, as with most other filing cabinets, very hard to screw in because the holes are so close to the sides you cannot get your hand round the screwdriver without holding it at an angle to the screws, which makes it much harder to drive in screws which are hard enough to drive in already. A small ratchet wrench which has screwdriver bits does the job much better once the screw is in enough not to fall out.)Before I had finished constructing this cabinet, the ratchet wrench was in pieces and had to be thrown out, because the sheer force required to drive the screws through until they were firmly securing the parts was more than the cheap ratchet wrench could take. I had to get my expensive one out to finish the job, which has never happened before.Nevertheless, this is one of the better filing cabinets I have constructed. The instructions are well printed and almost adequate, though they do not point out that part C can only be used one way up; the locking mechanism works well and two keys are provided.So get one, because all other filing cabinets have just the same problems or worse --- but unless it just has to be black, get a light colored one.
