The scariest thing is putting these things together but this is the second one of these that I've bought. I'm a senior who assembled this without any assistance. Assembly is all picture-based and very simple. I didn't time it but I think it took me less than an hour due to the simple pictures. The unit is very sturdy and I even bought an A/C adapter strip to attach underneath for additional power outlets. I was able to screw in a few small screws to mount it.The sides are metal so I bought some magnetic hooks to hang Headphones and cables. Just an awesome buy.The only thing that took a few minutes was screwing in the casters on the bottom. The little wrench that they provided works okay but I found that my own wrench was much faster.package arrived damaged and assembly was hindered due to having to drill out two of the machined bolt holes in order to get the bolts through. I would like a partial refund or I will need to return.I was looking into buying a laptop because I want the option to change rooms with the computer. I was sick of doing all my work in the office and away from my family. But the laptop I would need would cost A LOT (I'm a designer and need a powerful computer), and I also didn't want to be limited by a small screen. So, instead of buying a laptop, I thought maybe it would work to get a mobile desk for my computer instead. That way I could move it from room to room and be able to be more social. My husband had his reservations about me getting a mobile desk. The ones he had seen were really flimsy and a waste of money. I looked at several of them here on Amazon, and this one caught my eye. I went ahead and bought it, and it's been PERFECT. It's sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. I can wheel it into different rooms and use it easily. It's let me turn my PC into a laptop...minus the lap part. :) I can sit on the couch and work on the computer. Or I can use a little stool and work on it. It's been AWESOME. I LOVE it.My husband is impressed with how sturdy it is and says it's not at all like the ones he had seen before. He assembled the computer onto it. He used zip ties to secure the tower to the bottom shelf. Then I have two external hard drives that he also ziptied to the bottom shelf (so that they won't fall over or move around when it's being moved around). I ziptied all the cords in the back into a bunch and secured it to the metal bars across the back. We also have an extension cord (capable of handling this) so that I can work on the couch. The whole thing is very secure and works great. It's small and takes up very little space. If you are short on room, this is a great little desk. If you need something to turn your PC into something more mobile, this is perfect. I absolutely love it, and it's really changed things around at our house! It makes getting my stuff done way easier because I can work on it when I'm stuck in different rooms for whatever reason, etc. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs something like this. The assembly instructions could have been better - there were diagrams but no written directions. They could have had more detailed instructions. The keyboard shelf is very good, very stable. In the end UPS caused most of the problems with this order, but the seller customer service was mediocre. With that said, the desk itself is pretty good. Sturdy, easy to assemble and used good materials. Metal is a little thin so it could be damaged in transit (it was). Packaging was ok but should be better because of the above.I looked long and hard online for a computer desk on wheels like this one. All those I found were too flimsy or ugly. This piece is really solid. Its' load capacity is 200 lbs.! It came with very good, clear assembly instructions, and even a few extra parts/screws. A quality product at a very good price!needed my office set up around my recliner post knee replacement. This, plus a monitor arm that supports my laptop and a monitor, are just the thing. PC and UPS on the bottom, two keyboards, two mice, notebooks. It's handling it all. It was easy to put together (per husband) and is very sturdy. Moveable when minor adjustments needed. Just the ticket!!
