I guess when it comes to chairs, you get what you pay for. This chair is cheap and cheaply made with cheap materials by a cheap company with a horrendous return policy. If you’re looking for a chair with little cushioning, wobbly arms, a back that doesn’t stay where you set it and a ridiculously cheap footrest—this is the chair for you.The cushioning in the seat is minimal. Definitely not comfortable for long hours at work. Definitely does not have a bucket seat shape. The arms, despite how tight they are bolted in, are loose and wobbly when the chair is in the upright positions. They only tighten up in the reclining position. Definitely a manufacturer defect, not that they would ever admit to it.The back of the chair has a joint mechanism that lacks a locking pin so it never will stay where you want it to unless you’re fine with it being at the bottommost setting. For a tall person like myself, I prefer the headrest to be behind my head, not at my shoulders so I raise the back as far as it will go but no matter much I crank on the knob to keep it tight, it slips back down as soon as you recline in it. Just a lousy design.By the way, this chair does NOT rock. Sure, it reclines but it does not have a rocking mechanism. I’ve sat in hundreds of chairs that all rock so I mistakenly assumed this chair would have a rocking feature especially since it’s all about comfort and relaxation. Nope. Whoops. I guess I should work on my posture anyway. And then there’s the footrest… cheap metal poles with a cushion stuck on the end. I give the poles a month before they either start to bend under the weight of my feet or the cheap plastic holders the poles are situated in start to give and the poles start to dig into the bottom of the chair. Either way, I don’t expect it to last long. There’s also nothing holding the footrest poles in so if you pull it out too far, you’ll be picking it up off the floor and having to reassemble it. So there’s that. Fun stuff. Finally, the return policy. Total garbage. If you want your money back, forget it. Not only will you have to pay the shipping back which isn’t going to be cheap for a 43 pound box shipping to Washington. On top of that, if you enjoyed that Free Shipping Amazon is so keen on, turns out you’ll have to pay a portion of that too since the company ate that cost to send it to you in the first place. And then we’ve got a 15 percent restock fee. All three of these costs, you’re responsible for. By the time, that’s all paid for, you might see a third of what you paid refunded. Totally worth it. No wonder the company doesn't reveal this policy until you start the return process. All in all, look elsewhere if you want quality from a quality company that is more concerned about your comfort than their bottom line.So far this chair has been very good. I would have given 4.5 stars instead of 5 because the casters are a little to be desired and the arm rests to not flip up (but I knew that when buying it). This could be just me because I'm normally in a wheelchair. I would definitely recommend this chair. It is fairly comfortable and very easy to assemble. Everything lined up very well. The flip up leg rest is very nice. I thought it might be flimsy but it is very well built. I would not recommend this char for all day comfort though. The seat cushion is a little bit on the light side. This chair is quite wide too. A larger person might find it comfortable.I need to edit my original review above and take it down to 3 stars. The arms have become wobbly over the last few months with no way of tightening them. I tried to but it is as tight as it goes. The material on the back has frayed slightly. Overall I am very disappointed I had high hopes. It has clear directions and is easy to put together and operate. Decent chair. The footrest hits me about lower/mid calf and I’m 5’7”, don’t think you’d be comfortable if you were much taller. I got it for that feature to stop messing around with footstools, and in that respect it works as advertised so far. Besides that? It’s flimsy, not at all solid. No matter how much you tighten the screws down it wiggles. Not very well padded, but I’ve seen worse. The worst part for me is that the seat doesn’t tilt back, and is pitched slightly forward at that. It’s nice that the back will recline, but the seat itself makes you feel like you are going to slide out of it, even more so when you try to recline the back. All in all pretty disappointing, I’m going to see if I can add a shim or some washers at the front screws where it connects to the seat, anything to make it at least a little better.Likes: Relatively inexpensive, relatively comfortable, reclining feature is nice, easy to assemble, raises up and down well.Dislikes: Arms are already wobbly, will eventually break. Foot rest is flimsy, will not hold up for long and I'm not a big person. Worst part, it doesn't roll well at all. The way the wheels are arranged, when you try to roll the chair the base spins and makes it hard to roll straight. If you're looking for a high quality chair at a low price, this isn't it. If you don't want to spend the money to get a high quality chair at a high quality chair price, but you're good with something cheap at a cheap price, go for it.The chair is comfortable, however the arms do not stay tight. At least once a week I have to tighten the screws with an allen wrench on both arms. Should have paid more for something made better.I had to buy a cushion because the seat was too hard for me. if you are a small person this is fine. It will be comfortable for small people. I would recommend something stronger if you are over 200lbs. Not for 300lb people. It will fall apart at the arms.I received the chair and was damaged, contacted the manufacturer and was denied a refund and I appealed the decision. Don’t waste your time on this chair customer service is awful and won’t make it right. My opinionWhat a comfortable office chair, it is good for work also can take a nap with footrest. I love its head and back supports, soft leather but strong supports, very comfortable with recliner. Easy to assemble, light and convenient to move around, will never regret to have it.
