Seat is hard, back support is minimal. I'm usually not picky, but this chair is not working out!no.I got this chair on a "coupon," and I now see why. The chair is cheaply made, and the only option it has is to go up/down, and it stays at a constant of pushing you forward. There is no leaning back in this chair.This chair was easy to put together and quite sturdy.Lower back support is not featured. Padding is not of good quality.I thought I would get a better chair by spending a few extra dollars over the usual $50 chairs I buy, but I was wrong. The sad thing is that each part of this chair individually is of good quality, but the way it fits together is poorly designed. When you lean back it twists to one side and that wrecks your back after only a few minutes. The "lumbar support " is a joke. Just a piece of plastic that doesn't even snap in place, just sits loosely across the back. And the biggest problem is that the chair back is only attached to the seat by 4 bolts and anytime you put even the lightest pressure on the back (like when you sit in the chair normally) it feels and sounds like those bolts are breaking free. I'm really disappointed in the quality of the chair. Like I said though each part is nice by itself but once you sit in it you see it's not sturdy at all and that makes it uncomfortable and unsafe.Not a fan! Very stiff and I had to add a cushion and back cushion to even use for a days work. Just not my cup of tea!I am retiring this. After using this chair for 8 hours working the bottom of my forearms were red and burning from the friction of the material used on the arms.
