I am rating this 2 stars for one main reason and one.. what i hope is resolvable at no cost to me.. potentially minor issue.First, the product. As just about every other review has said, this thing is a beast. It is solid, heavy and sturdy. I took my time to put it together and because I was stupid in misplacing my socket wrenches, I used the two wrenches provided.. actually I used the two wrenches provided in the X-Class bench I also purchased (which is also a 5 star product). For the money, in my opinion this product offers more and possibly at a higher quality than other brands. A friend has another name brand cage that was slightly less but came with a lot less. Honestly, all of these cages are pretty solid in this range. Most are 2x2, some are 2x3 steel. I opted for this because of the 2x3 construction, price, options, and the reviews here. The instructions are some of the best I have ever seen. Not much else to add to what others said. The bolts/parts are in a package in the order of the steps, and nicely labeled. I didnt even read the text, just looked at the picture and the step I was in and it pretty much made sense. Now for the bad part. I will first say that this will become a 5 star review if/when my only product issue gets resolved. I wouldnt even take 1 star off.. because things happen, as long as the company backs the product and takes care of any defects, I am fine. So the minor issue, which I do hope is resolvable, is like some other reviews, the two safety bars that are used to catch a barbell when squatting (or act as a stop), (in the picture its the two silver rails down by the knees going from front to back), are both too short. One almost fits.. I can slam it down and pound on it and it will wedge into place, but the other is clearly a good 1/4" too small. Short of somehow bending the thick metal edges a bit, neither of the rails fold down into place once the two pins are inserted into the vertical post holes. Actually, one of them goes all the way in, the other does not.But my gripe here is.. I sent email and no reply in two days. I left 2 messages, as well as called back to try any of the 4 options and not one of them results in someone answering the phone. While I think the product is top notch overall, I find it hard to believe they are this busy that they have nobody to answer emails or phone calls, throughout the day. I guess they have been fortunate in most cases that the product is just rock solid with no problems for most, but their really is no excuse for not responding within a 24 to 48 hour period of time in 2018.Just tried again, 5th time today, still no answer. Alright, well here is hoping they see and respond to this review faster than their voice mail or email. Really want to give this product a 5 star review.. it is worth it. Oh. and yes.. despite my grievance, I would recommend this and buy it again.Update Jan 27 2018: So support got back to me.. in fact, 3 different replies came, one to answer a voice mail, two to answer two emails I sent. Odd to me that my emails got replies from different people. Maybe it is a canned response.. not sure.. but 2 days after my email to them has me thinking it wasnt. Anyway.. if you buy this here on Amazon, and have any issues that needs support, so you know.. they need the serial number on the back of the crossbar (which was on the rouned lower bar on the back of the unit) AND the number on the manual. I almost always throw manual away, so I am thankful I had not done so yet as I had already assembled the unit. As I said above, it is not terribly hard to put together.. just time consuming because of weight and especially if you dont have your own socket set to speed things up. Took me about 4 to 5 hours using the two wrenches supplied with the bench. The down side is after sending them my amazon order number, a copy/paste of my order details (date purchased, price, etc), serial number and the number on the manual, they responded that that wasnt enough to ensure I owned the product. I sent emails 2 days in a row asking them what else I could offer.. Amazon provides nothing else that I could find, and short of sending a picture of me with the built rack, serial number, etc.. I didnt know what else to send them to verify I had purchased the product. I would hope that they have some sort of database with serial numbers and manual numbers (since they require that info to verify with) that indicates it was sold through amazon, the date it was sent to their warehouse, etc. The last email I got was a little cryptic in that they said "Per your request; the following order has been submitted into our system. Provided for you below is your confirmation number. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day." So I assume that means they put in an order for the safety arms to be sent to me?? Not totally sure.Anyway, they did say they are a small company trying to work through orders, etc.. so I can give them that. I am not angry, the unit is rock solid, the instructions the best I have worked with, overall I am happy with the product.Which leads me to one reason why I wish I had gone another direction. For most people, those leaving 4/5 star reviews, and for me as well, this thing does everything it indicates/says it will, and it does so at a high quality. In no way would I not purchase this item because of quality, even the support which took a little longer to deal with but ultimately got back to me. No.. the primary reason I would have or should have saved up a bit for a rogue rack or titan or something, is the attachments. For most buying this, what it offers is great and will work fine. You can adjust the different jhooks, arms, etc and do bench, squat, and more. I stand by for the price I dont think youll find a better offering. The problem though, as I learned after purchase, is the 2x3 construction with 1" holes is different than the primary cages from the big boys who seem to be the only companies that offer a wide variety of attachments you may want. Rogue/Titan and several others build 2x2, 2x3 and 3x3 racks. From what I found, however, the 2x2 and 2x3 racks all use a 5/8" pin hole, while the 3x3 use a 1" pin hole. The pin hole means the attachments, especially he adjustable kind but even the bolt in kind, have pins on them that slide in to the holes just like the jhooks that came with this kit. Most attachments also have the U bracket below the pin to allow you to first insert it, then rotate it down to offer extra stability. So if you want to add on attachments like dip bars (yes I know this comes with dip bars..which are really nice btw), extra pegs to hold weights, and the one attachment I ended up purchasing and am hoping works.. the 3x3 Rogue Monolift, you may be out of luck. The 2x3 attachments with 5/8" pins will work/fit.. but you have a decent sized gap in the pin/hole area that I suspect will lessen the weight support the attachment can safely be used with as the pin will not fit snugly but instead pull out a bit and lean at an angle due to the size difference. I do NOT know if this is in fact going to be a problem. I could be completely wrong on this. It could also be that in the Rogue Monolift case, I plan to eventually support 500+lbs on it, and I would be concerned with the gap of the pin to hole, it would not be safe to use it. I could be wrong.. been so before.Anyway.. so I would say that is the primary reason had I read up on all this stuff before making the purchase.. for me personally, wanting a few additional attachments (like safety straps, extra weight holders, etc) I would have gone to a 3x3 1" rogue or titan rack. Take this with a grain of salt.. that is my personal preference. This rack is awesome, and I do believe for the majority of people interested in a home gym and wanting something top notch.. with what it comes with at the $700 price range.. it is really the best deal out there that I have found so far.One minor issue, height.. the top pin hole is really low on this. I am 6'4" and my bar sits below my shoulders, not by much so its not a big deal in this case. However the Monolift attachment.. if it works out, will sit 3" lower and that makes it difficult to use for squats. My solution is to drill 1" holes as high as I can as there IS room on the vertical post to fit some more holes.. they just didnt put holes all the way up like the more expensive racks seem to do. As well, my head bumps up against the bar inside the cage.. barely.. and only if I am stupid enough to try to do so.. but if the rack had a few more inches in height with more holes going up to the top area that would be nice to see.I have changed to a 4 star review.. simply because for me, the support is a head scratcher, that some of the parts came not fitting and having to deal with support and the hassles with several emails to verify I bought the item, the lack of ability to support common attachments, and the lack of holes higher up on the posts for taller lifters.. I take off the one star. For most, if you have read this far, this is indeed a 5 star product. Hopefully my review helps others decide if this is the rack for them. I would suggest you do look at the racks rogue, titan and some others before you buy because this thing is a beast, not easy to tear down and return, and the cost to ship it back for a return would probably be a couple hundred bucks given the weight.. so I am chalking it up as a first time learn experience, and should I come in to some money down the road, I may sell this for a good discount and spend the money on a more customization/future proof rack. For now, this will work well, built well, and does the job.Fast-Read Version:This rig is a great value and very high quality. Glad I found this brand and power cage on Amazon. I originally got this on tight budget to get me through the doldrums of lockdowns and gym closures, but now see this as a pivotal investment in my future health and fitness. In 9-11 months it will pay for itself in gym membership money saved.Longer-Read Version:My Fitness Reality FID 2000 weight bench and Bowflex 552 adjustable weights were okay during beginning of lockdown, but I grew restless because I wanted to do more heavy weight exercises like bench, squat, and deadlift. I wanted a power cage for versatility and needed one for the safety arms since I realized I'd be working out solo about 80% of the time and don't want to die by heavy barbell accident. I'm not a serious or competitive powerlifter or body builder so I didn't sway towards industry-/innovation- brands like Rogue, PRx, Sorinex, Titan and others even though I dig their gear and their accessories. Instead, I am an avid workout guy that has spend lots of $$$$ on a Crunch Fitness membership over the years.I did a lot of research beforehand and found that Fitness Reality (FR) has great A+ content pages, good reviews on Amazon and their own website is great for reference. Their videos helped to sway me, even through I had never heard of this brand before. At the end of Prime Days, I bought the X-Class Light Commercial power cage and the matching lat-pull/low row attachment. At check out, Amazon even gave me the option to pay over 5 months without finance/interest charges. Right before the holidays, this was another key factor in my purchase decision.Within a week of ordering, this behemoth (power cage and lat attachment) came in 4 boxes and were very well packed with no damage. I was impressed with the level of secure packing and the organization. Even things like J-hooks were super protected (SEE IMAGE). Having the bolts/nuts/washers packed up in flat blister packs was heaven sent and made it so much easier to track between reading instructions and pulling out right bolts. I didn't bother with the flimsy wrenches…I was able to get this assembled 10X faster with a Ryobi impact wrench and socket set. Had no problems with assembly, everything was easy to follow.I'm impressed with FR's level of quality. All the welds are strong and clean on both the cage and even attachments like the J-hooks. I did have a question about the J-cups and emailed FR. Their customer service team (Paradigm) was super fast in responding and helping me out. Once assembled it was bigger and beefier than I thought from seeing online, living up to it's "light commercial" marketing. Overall it looks great with the black and grey colors. After I "lived" with my FR rig for about a month, here's how I navigated online to get a more complete solution to accessorize it (with 2"x3" uprights). NOTE…this is a snapshot in time and especially with Amazon everything is in constant flux as far as brands, supply and specs: • Lat pulldown/low row attachment? ---> Glad I got this from FR more when purchasing power cage rig and is 100% seamless on assembly and functionality. Love that it comes with 2 bars (lat and row) and that I can store base-level weight plates on it too. • Landmine? ---> Got FR Landmine (not available on Amazon so got from their website: FITNESS REALITY Landmine, 360 degree rotation, fits 1” Standard and 2” Olympic Bars, SKU 2813) since it fits a 3" wide base tube and is as strong as a tank. • Weight plate holders that twist/lock-in without bolts into 2"x3" uprights? ---> 1st attempt: FR, but they only make a 2"x2" plate holder...doh! --->2nd attempt: Titan Fitness but they're out of stock. ---->3rd attempt: I bought some "A2Zcare" holders on Amazon (ASIN : B0822CBKSR) as they state theirs fits 2"x 3" but turns out they DID NOT fit and I think these only work with Everyday Essentials (WM) power cage. -------> 4th attempt was SUCCESSFUL: I ended up finding Yes4All weight plate holders on Amazon (ASIN : B08SXGDNT8) for 2"x3" and these FIT and work great to organize my cast irons and rubber bumper plates. SEE IMAGES. • Bolt-on steel anchor plate with big hook to attach a 50 ft. battle rope? ---> Luckily, the Yes4All hook that came with their 50ft battle rope with nylon cover (ASIN : B08MGGVLS4) from Amazon secures, by using 2 inner holes, right onto the front of the cage, left or right side. I used M10 100mm(4") hex bolts/washers/locknuts spray-painted in black to match the rest. SEE IMAGES • Gravity boots for inverted sit-ups, and spinal decompression? ----> I got Teeter EZ-UP XLs and work fine on the outer front pull-up bar. Their hook is non-metallic and doesn't mar or scratch the pull-up bar surface. • Loud racking noise reduction? ---> Sometimes I workout late when everyone else is asleep, to cut down on metal-to-metal racking noises, I got a can of FlexSeal and generously put this on the metal contact points of the J-hooks and 11" safety bars, especially coating the back "vertical" sections to absorb the brunt of the contact. Warning: messy especially if you're impatient like me. SEE IMAGE • Safety straps? ----> Backordered T-3 Series 36" version through Titan Fitness. The rigid ones that come with the FR rig are okay and will do for now, but sort of hard to insert quickly front and back, but I still plan to use these for squats and for the dip attachment. In sum, for me personally I made the best decision to opt out of the gym membership and instead invest in a garage gym based on price, budget, and availability. Love that I can seamlessly workout in between family and work obligations, exactly what Coop on GGR said in a recent YT video about "efficiency" for home garage gym over regular gym.
