You get what you pay for, especially when it comes to a daily-use office chair. But this chair punches above its weight given the price. It's very comfortable, supportive, and is a friend of big folks. I'm 6' 1", 300lbs, and this chair does the job with few complaints. The back is infinitely adjustable, meaning you don't have to choose between 2 or 3 reclined positions. Unlock it, position where you like, and lock it again. It stays put. Or leave it unlocked. The tension adjustment works well and you can lean into a comfortable recline position without having to lock it in place. The arm wrests are also the trifecta of options, with generous range of motion. Up/down, forward/back, and twist. They lock firmly in place too, which means no accidental movements. The headrest is great, lumbar is flexible and supportive, and the mesh breathes quite well.My only niggle is that the chair does creak and rattle a bit. But again, I'm a big lad and am probably pushing this chair to its max.All told, for the price, this is an absolute winner.Well built and easy to assemble. Perfect fit for wife.Overall it is a nice chair and I love the back support. The seat is extremely firm which I was not expecting and not as long as I like. It hits me a little shorter on the leg than I was hoping for and it doesn't adjust forward away from the back like some chairs do. For the price, it is a good chair.I’ve needed a chair for years. This one is perfect for my playtime.I have only had it for a day, but the chair seems to be very supportive. Very easy to assemble with simple instructions provided.I like my new chair. It is super comfortable and the net seat and back makes it cool for Arizona living.Assembly was fast and easy. Seems robust. I like the mesh seat and back; the breathability of both keeps you cooler when you are parked in it 8+ hours a day. Reclines ok, but I prefer chairs that you can set the recline to and the sit up straight and the back goes up, and when you lean back, will go as far back as you set it. With this chair, whatever angle the back of the chair is at when you push the recline lever down is the angle it stays at. Oh well, I’ll live. Finally I found a office chair that for me does not irritate my sciatica. No crease or stitching to irritate that sweet spot, or length nerve behind my leg. I went through 4 chairs, cushion, self made relief and this was it for me.The ergonomic for my back and the ease of assembling was just another bonus. This chair is designed for someone of above average hight and weight. Dimensions and weight instructions were not available at the time I bought it. For me it feels big and not fitting well (I'm 5'10" and about 140 pounds, but I still kept it as I only need it for a couple of hours a day. Other than that it has everything that an office chair needs and feels comfortable for longer sitting.Assembly was ok, however once assembled it needed additional oiling, to stop it from squeaking every time I sit on it.I have another Zuerst chair that's very similar to this one, but it includes a leg rest. Other than that, they are almost identical. The chair came in a small, but heavy box and did require full assembly. It took about 15 minutes to assemble this chair, but I already had experience assembling another. The wheels were the more difficult part to put in and did require extra effort. The build quality is quite good, although not to be compared with some more expensive office chairs I've used. My son has been using this as his "gaming chair" and loves it.I really appreciate the adjustability options and you can adjust not only the height of the chair but also the armrests. One of the things I really love about this chair is the fabric mesh, which is completely breathable compared with foam-filled chairs I've used in the past. The chair feels stable and it rolls smoothly across hard floor surfaces or a chair mat (I haven't tried on carpet). This chair has lumbar support, which can be adjusted closer or further away from your back, is an awesome addition that spares needing to use a separate cushion for back support.Overall, I think this chair is a pretty decent value and offers plenty of features and comfort. The chair is super comfortable. We use daily Zuerst chairs in our home office and during the kids' distance education days. The chairs do a perfect supporting job.I'm 5ft tall, my hubby is 6'3", and all the chairs are comfortable for both of us.On some days, I have to spend 8-10 hours sitting, and I feel comfortable the whole day.I think that the product is well made using quality materials. The chair could not be compared to the 1K+ office chairs, but the design and ergonomics are great for eight workday hours.Since August, the ZUERST chairs have served our family 24/7/375, and so far, they are in excellent shape.I'm not sure about the price, though, it looks exaggerated a tad, but the comfort and ergonomics are evident. The Good Parts- The chair has a simple, modern esthetic. Unlike something like a gamer chair, it's not very flashy.- Very customizable in the sense that every comfort area of the chair can be adjusted.- The mesh is very breathable, so it won't accumulate and absorb heat from your body, which is nice in the summer.- Lumbar support goes up and down and in and out. The head rest is removable.- The chair is very comfortable, and the head rest is nice- The chair is quite sturdy and heavy. The materials appear to be pretty durable.- Generally easy to assemble, includes extra screws and a tool to screw them in. The instructions were easy enough to understand. Taking my sweet old time, it took me less than a half-hour to put together.Hit or Miss- While the assembly process is easy, assembly requires a little bit of muscle. The metal legs can be hard to get onto the base. I needed to use a rubber mallet to get them into position. The casters can be a little tricky to get locked into position- Depending on your desk, there may not be enough clearance for the arm rests, even at the lowest settings. If the arm rests prevent you from tucking the chair under your desk/table, you can always remove them (or not install them in the first place)- The mesh material isn't going to appeal to everyone. Some people just prefer the look and/or feel of padding.- The mesh material is a little hard, which may not be good if you're frequently wearing delicate fabrics. It is not as soft and smooth as the mesh you find on (much) more expensive chairs made by Hermann Miller, Steelcase or Humanscale.- When leaning all the way back, it sometimes feels like you're going to fall over (but you won't). Tightening the tension (using the knob underneath the seat) does help mitigate that though.- The chair can be a little too tall for shorter people. My wife is 5' tall, and her feet hang above the ground at the chair's lowest height.- As with every other chair with casters, if you're using it on carpet, you'll want to get a rigid chair mat.I assembled this chair immediately upon receipt. Everything that I needed to assemble the chair was included (an allen key) and the instructions were very straightforward. It took me about a half hour to assemble the chair, but I had to call my husband in for help with getting the wheels on and the chair on the base - it took some muscle. Definitely a two person job getting the chair on the base! The chair seems to be very well made. The bottom frame is metal and the chair is rated to hold 330 pounds. My husband and I can sit in this chair together (combined we are about 300 pounds) with no issues. This chair has a wider space for sitting than the office chairs that I am accustomed to - the arm rests are further out so if you're a bigger person, you won't be pinched. The arm rests, although comfortable, aren't quite padded enough for me. I do a lot of armrest leaning so I would prefer them to be extra cushy. The armrests are adjustable and you can twist them from side to side. They are adjustable though with a lever, and I love this! It's really easy to do with just the touch of a lever on either arm rest. The material of this chair is mesh. The back, the seat, all mesh. Very breatheable and extremely comfortable to sit in on a summer day - this is the only chair in my house that doesn't give me back and/or butt sweat. The added bonus of the mesh seat on this chair, as my husband so eloquently put it, "the mesh won't hold the farts in." Although the chair is covered in mesh, it is not abrasive and I have not had it snag any of my clothing (I usually wear very snaggable lululemon yoga pants while sitting in this chair). I can also sit comfortably on the mesh while wearing shorts, it doesn't stick to my skin. I don't have air conditioning in my home, but I discovered that if you place a fan behind this chair it blows through the mesh and onto your skin, keeping you much cooler than a standard fabric or leather covered chair would.I'm taking a university class right now and I spend hours every week sitting in this chair in front of my computer. It is honestly the most comfortable office chair that I have ever owned. I have spondylolisthesis in my lower back and I am currently waiting for fusion surgery. This chair has such good back support that I can actually sit in it comfortably (I can't even do that on the couch!) The lumbar support is excellent - really cradles the lower spine and supports it. The lumbar support is adjustable, so I have it customized for me. It is changeable with a little dial on the back that my husband uses when he wants to sit in the chair (rare, because I'm usually in it!) Same goes for the headrest, it's easily adjustable and although I'm short it goes low enough that I can use it comfortably.I'm a pretty short person, 5'2", and my feet can't quite touch the floor when I sit in this chair. I have placed a small stepstool underneath to rest my feet and it works really well. If you're taller than me, you probably won't have an issue - if I was just an inch taller, my feet would touch. If you're short like me, you'll want a little step stool. This chair is very tilt-able. It leans WAY back, so far back that you'll feel like you're going to fall over backwards! But you won't. This is useful for stretching out my back, or for leaning back to watch the TV that is overhead and way too close...I know, I know. I really like the tilt function, it makes this chair more multifunctional than just an office chair as it is actually very comfortable to sit in.I'm really, really happy with this chair. It looks attractive in my office, and it is supremely comfortable. I have a HORRIBLE back (I've had a handful of spinal fusions and I am currently waiting on more) and this chair is SO COMFORTABLE. If you need additional lumbar support, I can't recommend this chair enough. For the first time in a LONG time I can sit comfortably and work at my computer, something that I didn't think I'd be able to do until after my next surgery. This chair is ideal for people with back issues, plus-sized people, very tall people, or people that just need a chair that breathes better and keeps them cooler.
